Imaikkaa Nodigal Songs Review

Review Overview

Kadhalikathey
Vilambara Idaiveli
Neeyum Naanum Anbe
Kadhal Oru Aagayam
Lion vs Hyenas
Rudra’s Symphony

Neatly organized, stylish soundtrack!

Imaikkaa Nodigal is a well-organized soundtrack from composers Hip Hop Tamizha, using their style of music quite effectively. It isn’t as catchy and addictive as it could have been, but nevertheless, good enough to get the film some traction beforehand.

Cast: Nayanthara , Atharvaa, Anurag Kashyap, RaashiKhanna

Music: Hiphop Tamizha

Lyrics: Hiphop Tamizha, Kabilan Vairamuthu, Kabilan, Mohanrajan, Ajay Gnanamuthu

Direction: Ajay Gnanamuthu

Label: Think Music

Kadhalikathey: Singers – Hip Hop Tamizha, Kaushik Krish

A peppy kuthu song with a really catchy hook. The ‘Enna Nadanthalum’ pair of Hip Hop Aadhi and Kaushik Krish return on the mic for a take-a-spot rendition, with a good music video this could be enjoyable in theatres. Our PICK.

Vilambara Idaiveli: Singers – Christopher Stanley, Sudharshan Ashok, Srinisha Jayaseelan

Neat melody track with stylish vocals from Halena singer Christopher Stanley and the rest. The song’s musical organization is synonymous to many tracks of the composers, but the vocals do come to the rescue at many places.

Neeyum Naanum Anbe: Singers – Raghu Dixit, Sathyaprakash

Easily the best song in the album, pictured on Vijay Sethupathy and Nayanthara. Raghu Dixit’s voice is a different, laudable pick by Hip Hop Tamizha, who organizes his music around the vocals without spoiling the essence. Our PICK.

Kadhal Oru Aagayam: Singers – Teejay, Al Rufian

A barely passable song that fades away in comparison to the other tracks in the album. Teejay does a good job on the mic, but that’s not quite enough.

Lion vs Hyenas: Singers – Magizh Thirumeni

Narrating the conflict of the film, Magizh Thirumeni speaks for Anurag Kahsyap’s voice, along with the use of the background music. The track doesn’t find shape, even though the intent is relatively innovative.

Rudra’s Symphony: Instrumental

Here’s our final PICK of the album, a rousing theme track fit in for the villain. After a minute, it elevates itself to the next level with some awesome guitar.
