I’m an ardent fan of Rajinikanth and Suriya: Ritwika

Actress Ritwika who impressed everyone with her recent performance in Ranjith’s Madras says she is an ardent fan of Superstar Rajinikanth and Suriya. Ritwika as Mary in Madras produced a brilliant, realistic chemistry on screen with Kalaiarasan who played Anbu in the film. The duo as a under-privileged couple living in north Madras won more accolades from critics than Karthi and Catherine Tresa.

In her recent interview to a popular Tamil daily, she says she considers Saritha, Suhasini and Nandita Das as her role models. “I’m an ardent fan of Rajinikanth and Suriya. I want to share screen space with them for at least ten minutes. That’s my dream,” said Ritwika. However, Madras is Ritwika’s second stellar performance since she already made heads turn as Karuthakanni in director Bala’s Paradesi, which was her notable performance on screen.
