Ilaiyaraja, AR Rahman contribute to flood-hit families of FEFSI

As Chennai limps back to normalcy, the rehabilitation and relief operations of flood-battered families are going round the clock. Tamil film industry has come forward to extend its helping hand to the flood-hit families of Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI). The members of FEFSI approached particular members of the film fraternity to sponsor essential commodities for the affected families. Ilaiyaraja, AR Rahman, D Imman, Ayngaran Karunamorthy, Harris Jayaraj and Gnanavelraja are among others who have offered generous contributions to FEFSI employees.

Producers Union: 55 tonnes of rice

South Indian Film Chamber: Relief kits worth Rs. 5 lakhs

Ilaiyaraja: 5000 blankets

AR Rahman: 50 tonnes of rice

Gnanavelraja: 2 tonnes of rice

Stunt Siva: 50 bags of rice

Actors Union: 4500 litres of oil

Art Director Muthuraj: 1000 litres of oil

Karunamoorthy (Ayngaran and Lyca): 2500 kilos of pulses

D Imman: 5000 kilos of Wheat

Harris Jayaraj: 4500 kilos of Sugar

CV Kumar: 1000 kilos of pulses

AM Ratnam: 2000 sarees

Escape Artists Madhan: 2000 towels
