Ilaiyaraaja concert in Madurai: A mesmerizing affair!

Isaignani fans were a mesmerized lot and on cloud nine listening to the tilting classics of their idol last evening in Tamukkam grounds, Madurai. Raajavin Sangeetha Thirunaal, a musical feast spearheaded by Kaarthik Raja to honor Maestro Ilaiyaraaja will be showcased on Raj TV for the Tamil New Year on April 14th. The grand event was attended by a large number of fans from Ilaiyaraaja’s birthplace Pannipuram.

The event also witnessed the official launch of ‘Ilaiyarajaa Fan Club’ by his daughter Bhavatharini. Started with the eternally blissful Janani Janani sung by Raja, the night was a musical delight for fans who thronged in large numbers for the event. Singers inlcuding KS Chitra, Mano, Sadhana Sargam, Uma Ramanan, Surendran, Yuvan Shankar Raja and Hariharan were part of the concert and sang captivating numbers for the audience.
