“I would prefer marrying someone from the industry,” says Shruti Haasan

When most heroines dodge questions about their marriage, here is Shruti Haasan responding point-blank in an interview. She reveals that she is not against the institution of marriage but accepts that she is sceptical.  “I am not against the institution. Some of my friends have the most beautiful marriages. I feel it is like a bouquet of flowers but then I tell myself — ‘No Shruti, don’t believe it, you might get a basket of fruits and nuts’,” says Shruti.

“I would prefer marrying someone from the industry. There may be a few disadvantages, but there are a lot of advantages in it too. Both my parents belong to the industry, so it makes sense,” Shruti Haasan adds.

On the professional front, she is part of two biggest projects this year – Vijay’s Puli and Ajith’s Thala 56.
