I was about to quit the industry before I read Aadai script, says Amala Paul

Speaking at the trailer launch of Aadai, Amala Paul said, “I was getting a lot of fake women-centric films with struggling mothers, revolutionary women and so on. I told my manager that I was about to quit the industry as it was all too boring. And then, I read a single page synopsis of Aadai.”

She added: “Director Rathna Kumar (Meyadha Maan fame) is the ‘ballsiest’ director. Anurag Kashyap found the teaser to be poetic, saying that he could feel the pain in the final shot. The credit goes to Vijay Kartik Kannan, the cinematographer.”

Aadai is currently in the final stages of post-production and is slated to hit screens on July 19th.
