“I personally requested Simbu to apologize,” says Vishal

After criticism from Radhika and Sarathkumar that Nadigar Sangam was keeping mum in theĀ Beep SongĀ controversy, the office-bearers cleared the air in a press meet held yesterday. “Simbu is like my son. He is like a brother to Karthi and Vishal. I was in touch with TR Sir. Vishal and Karthi were constantly in touch with Simbu over the phone. Ponvannan suggested Simbu very politely to tender an apology but they said they will handle the matter legally. We are still figuring out ways to help Simbu get out of this quagmire,” said Nassar.

“I personally spoke to Simbu and told, ‘See, leaked or not leaked is definitely not the question now. It has hurt the sentiments of few people and an apology may be the right thing to do’. I did not suggest this to Simbu as the General Secretary of Nadigar Sangam. I personally requested him to apologize. Now, the ball is in court. We can’t give our opinion when the matter has gone legal. Whatever the judge says should be respected too,” said Vishal who also revealed that Nadigar Sangam has sent a showcause notice to Radhika for her remarks that association had been maintaining silence on the issue. Vishal also ruled out the possibility of expelling Simbu from Nadigar Sangam or cancelling his membership.
