“I don’t regret doing Vijay’s Puli”

Kannada Superstar Sudeep recently had a release in Tamil, in the form of Mudinja Ivana Pudi, directed by KS Ravikumar. Though the film has attained big success in its Kannada version, the response to the Tamil version has been lukewarm thanks mainly to a very minimal, delayed release. The reviews for it have been decent though.

In a recent interview, Sudeep was asked about his Puli experience and whether he regrets doing this Vijay film, which bombed.

“Regret is too big a word. I had my valid reasons to do the film and director Chimbudevan eagerly wanted me onboard. I also like Vijay’s choice of films and wanted to work with him. I was clear that it was just a negative role opposite Vijay. But yes, our combination could’ve been used much better by the director. It’s like a wasted opportunity.”
