I anticipated the backlash for Mersal’s dialogues, says Vijay
Thalapathy Vijay bagged the award for the best actor at the prestigious Vikatan Awards which took place last night. The actor received the award for his blockbuster Mersal from Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan, who was also present at the glitzy event.
Speaking at the show, Vijay said that he had anticipated the vibrations for the dialogues he had spoken at the end of Mersal, but had still gone ahead with it bravely.
Vijay also said that he was feeling proud to receive an award for a film that he had done for Tamizh culture, a day before a stock Tamil festival – Pongal.
Mersal also bagged two other awards – best music by AR Rahman and best costumes for Neeraja Kona.
