Here’s why Karunas demands ban on Dhanush – Mari Selvaraj’s Karnan
Actor Karunas has demanded a ban on Dhanush’s next film Karnan, which is being directed by Mari Selvaraj of Pariyerum Perumal fame. The story of Karnan is reportedly based on the caste riot of Kodiyankulam, which shocked the southern Tamil Nadu in 1995. The clash between Devendrakula Vellalars and Pallars and the strong police force of 600 men in khaki shook the entire state in 1995 and resulted in bloodshed.
It must be noted that Karunas also sought the removal of a few dialogues in Dhanush’s Asuran directed by Vetrimaaran. The shooting of Karnan is progressing at a brisk pace now in Tirunelveli.
