Hello Naan Pei Pesuren Songs Review

Review Overview

Majja Malcha
Kozhi Kuruda
Naanum Avalum
Sillaki Dumma
Idhayathin Laptap

Inventive, but imprecise.

Hello Naan Pei Pesuren is an appreciable effort from Siddarth Vipin, who invariably comes up with at least two good songs every time. This time, his music does well but it is the lyrics which turn out to become the leveller. Yet, the album delivers a couple of fun tracks which suit the genre the film belongs to.

Cast: Vaibhav, Aishwarya Rajesh, Oviya, VTV Ganesh

Music: Siddharth Vipin

Director: S Baskar

Label: Times Music

Majja Malcha: Singers – Vijay Sethupathi, Jagadesh, Prabha

After starting with a warning, the moments of this song belong to Vijay Sethupathi, who absolutely grabs all the attention with his local slang. Otherwise, a passable kuthu number. Our PICK.

Kozhi Kuruda: Singers – Devan Ekambaran, Swetha Mohan

Despite the shallow lyrics, this number stands out from the album, thanks to the lovely instrumentations and interludes. Devan and Swetha are as charming as always, adding an instantly likable flavour to the track. Our PICK.

Naanum Avalum: Singers – Siddarth Vipin

Quite a laudable experimental attempt from Siddarth, but his choice to draw himself on the vocals backfires a bit. Nevertheless, the basic idea of the song is something to offer a few claps to.

Sillaki Dumma: Singers – Bhaskar, Prabha

A bothersome track which goes nowhere in trying to be entertaining. No takeaways here.

Idhayathin Laptap: Singers – Vishnupriya, Jagadesh

Pretty usual setup from Siddarth, but it does liven up thanks to Vishnupriya’s rendition. The title track of the film, a middling one at that.
