Director Mani Nagaraj, whose debut film Pencil is gearing up for release this Friday, says GV Prakash was apt for the lead role. “On the sets, it took him just 4-5 days to get a hang of things but he never showed any signs of struggle to act. I think he found it really comfortable to act because he was apt for the role, which is why I approached him in the first place,” said Mani.
Billed as a thriller drama, Pencil stars Sri Divya as the lead heroine. VTV Ganesh, Urvashi and Rahman play important roles. The music for the film is also composed by GV Prakash. The movie is majorly set against the backdrop of a school campus.
