Kollywood’s busy bee GV Prakash is now learning Mridangam for his film with director Rajeev Menon of Mozhi fame, in spite of being time poor.
The actor who is having a slew of projects lined up this year including a film with Vetrimaaran, director Bala’s Naachiyar, Adangathey, 4g, Ayngaran and Semma is learning Mridangam for his film Sarvam Thaala Mayam with director Rajeev Menon. GV Prakash essays the role of a musician in this film. With lots of modern instruments emerging, how life turns for a traditional Mridangam player is the basic plot of Sarvam Thaala Mayam.
As GV Prakash who is a trained musician has little experience in playing Mridangam, he is now under the tutelage of legendary Umayalpuram Sivaraman. Music director and his maternal uncle AR Rahman is scoring the music for this film.
