We earlier reported here that Bharathiraja’s writing the sequel to the yesteryear classic hit Sigappu Rojakkal. Now, reliable sources say Bharathiraja has finished writing the script and his son Manoj is liekly to wield the megaphone for this interesting sequel. Bharathiraj, earlier in his interview to a daily, confirmed that Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose music for the film. Remember that the original version which released in 1978 had Ilaiyaraja’s scintillating music.
Now, bankable sources say the sequel will have GV Prakash Kumar as the composer. GVP, who is debuting as an actor in the horror comedy Darling, is also busy of Pencil where he plays the lead role opposite Sridivya and has also signed Trisha Illana Nayanthara. On the music front, his upcoming albums include Darling, Pencil, Kaaka Muttai, Atharvaa Murali’s Eetti, Karthi’s Komban and Vetrimaaran – Dhanush’s Soodhadi.
