Ilayathalapathy Vijay has lauded the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to eradicate the menace of black money. He also cited two incidents of an old lady attempting suicide and a newborn baby suffering in a hospital due to lack of financial assistance to point out that government could have pro-active in carrying out the immediate measures.
“Really, it’s a good move by the central government. It’s a daring, much-needed decision for the betterment of our country. People in villages are struggling to buy medicines and to fulfill their basic needs. I just feel that government could have avoided all these had it been a little pro-active. Why should the 80% general populace suffer the wrong-doing of 20% rich people?,” said Vijay who spoke to the press at AVM Studios, Vadapalani.
