Producer Gnanavelraja of Studio Green appealed top heroes in the Tamil film industry to charge reasonable remuneration and accept schedule payments from producers instead of demanding exorbitant amount as advance upfront.
“Telugu film industry has a healthy atmosphere because the unity between artists and producers is excellent. For Rs 100 Cr worth film, a top hero earns Rs 20 Cr there and accepts an advance of Rs 50 lakhs to come to shooting. Here, they are asking Rs 50 Cr as salary. This situation definitely has to change,” he said at the audio launch of Allu Arjun’s En Peyar Surya En Veedu India, the Tamil dubbed version of Telugu film Naa Peru Surya. The film will be released in Tamil Nadu on May 4th by Sakthi Film Factory.
