Gauthami, who is making a comeback to the silver screen with Papanasam, shares her working experience with director Jeethu Joseph who helmed the film’s original version in Malayalam. “Jeethu Joseph is extremely professional. He is very passionate about his craft and gets very involved in the scene, which is really good to watch. Directors need to have a certain amount of perspective and at the same time, they should be able to stand back and judge. But Jeethu is above and beyond all that,” says Gauthami.
Featuring Kamal Haasan and Gautami in the lead roles, Papanasam has Asha Shareth, Kalabhavan Mani and Niveda Thomas in important roles. It has music by Ghibran. The film is slated for summer release.
