Film industry shocked by the demise of Na Muthukumar

Celebrated contemporary lyricist Na. Muthukumar, who has two national awards to his credit, has succumbed to jaundice and severe fever this morning in Chennai. Muthukumar’s sudden demise has shocked the entire Tamil film fraternity, who have been expressing condolences on their official social media pages since the news was confirmed.

“I cannot believe Na.Muthukumar is no more. Too young to die. God give his family strength. What a loss! Sad sad day,” posted Siddharth.

“Can’t believe this #namuthukumar is no more …He’s written more than 200 songs in my films A huge loss May god give strength to his family. My music career started with his lyric in veyilodu vilayadi … He had written all the songs in #KIK,” posted GV Prakash.

“Na.Muthukumar always took my breath away with the speed & depth of his poetry.I’m shocked by his untimely death.May his family find strength,” posted director CS Amudhan.
