Dragon becomes highest grossing Tamil film of 2025!
Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon has now overtaken Vidaamuyarchi to become the number one highest grossing Tamil film of 2025 – the film has grossed more than 140 crores at the global box office, beating Vidaamuyarchi’s numbers (139CR) and all the other films released this year. Dragon’s TN gross is 75CR+ approx and is expected to stand next to Vidaamuyarchi (83CR) in the home territory in its lifetime run.
Dragon has become a benchmark for films with young actors in the lead, as it will be a number that will be hard to beat for other films coming in the future as well. The film has worked superbly with audiences at the BO, bringing in a collective audience set which has worked wonders for the team.
With biggies such as Veera Dheera Sooran, Good Bad Ugly, Retro and Thug Life gears for release in the next consecutive months, we shall wait and see which remains top by end of first half of the year.
