Don’t hurt the sentiments of others on social media: Rajinikanth to fans

Speaking at the audio launch of 2.0, Superstar Rajinikanth told his fans to support good artists and good films. “If you don’t like a film, don’t hurt the feelings of others on social media. The younger generation is slowly forgetting its tradition and culture. Always remember your roots if you want to stay happy in your life,” said Rajinikanth.

Rajinikanth and Shankar thanked Subaskaran Allirajah, Chairman of Lyca Productions for coming forward to bankroll the project, which is touted to be Asia’s costliest film.

Money is not important to Subaskaran. He has a lot of businesses to earn money. But, he is doing this project out of sheer passion for Indian cinema. He wants to take it to new heights,” said Rajinikanth.

Shankar said, “No one was ready to fund a project at this massive scale of Rs. 350 to Rs. 400 crores. It was only because of Lyca this movie kicked off. Hats off to Subaskaran Allirajah for his trust in the project.”

AR Rahman: “We have an additional song and many theme tracks which will be released later. We don’t want to hold on to anything. The third song was penned by late lyricist Na. Muthukumar.”
