Don’t do anything for publicity, Suriya urges fans

Speaking at the audio launch of Kaappaan, Suriya advised his fans to avoid doing things for publicity. “Fans are my biggest strength. I always believe that success is not a destination but a journey. I urge my fans to always take care of themselves and their families. Society comes next. Don’t do anything for publicity,” he said.

He further added: “This is my 9th film with Harris Jayaraj and I know how hard he has worked on ‘Kaappaan‘. I had done ‘Ayan‘ and ‘Maattraan‘ with KV Anand previously. This is our third film together. ‘Kaappaan‘ is the kind of film that everyone will love. I have played the role of a Special Protection Group commando in the film. I should thank producer Subaskaran garu for making it possible to make ‘Bandobast’ in this way. I feel fortunate to have got to work with Mohanlal garu. He helped me like an elder brother. I worked with him for 25 days. This is a very important film for me. Arya and Sayyeshaa will be seen as a pair. Although Arya is a part of the film, I got paired up with Sayyeshaa in the film. It did hurt but I had to do it since that’s the script (laughs). I never even dreamt that I will receive the audience’s blessings enormously. It’s never wrong to keep trying. With continuous effort, it’s definitely possible to achieve success. I sincerely thank Rajinikanth garu for making it today as the chief guest. His path is always right. He is like an open book. Nobody can stand in his way. He is a real-life hero. Shankar garu is someone who has been taking our cinema to the next level every time.”

Kaappaan is all set to hit screens worldwide on August 30th.
