Doing a film like Gorilla was a big challenge: Jiiva
After keeping off the radar for a while, Jiiva seems to be back on track with three of his films hitting the screens in quick succession. Following Kee, his next release would be Gorilla, which is slated to hit the screens on the 21st of June. Speaking about the film, Jiiva said that the experience of shooting with a real chimpanzee was completely new, being something he never imagined of doing.
“We first wanted to shoot in Chennai only, but the Animal Welfare Board had a lot of restrictions. We then moved to Thailand to shoot with the chimpanzee, and boy it was a thoroughly different experience. Doing films like Gypsy, Katradhu Tamizh and Raam are okay for me as I have the mindset for it, but Gorilla was a big challenge,” said the actor.
