Distributors association demands to go on indefinite strike from March 27th

The Tamil Nadu Distributors Association has called for an indefinite strike, there by stopping the distribution of Tamil films from March 27th to protest against the 10% TDS levied by the central government on movie distribution.

They have also requested the state government to get rid of the 8% Local Body Entertainment Tax, which is levied on top of the GST 12% on movie tickets. Popular producer-distributor-director T Rajendar convened the meeting which was attended by top most distributors from TN.
