Director Ram – Mammootty’s Peranbu secures 20th position in IFFR

In the 47th International Film Festival of Rotterdam, only the director’s first two films are eligible for the main competition category. Peranbu a.k.a. Resurrection was eligible only for the Audience Award Category.

“Based on the voting of the festival audience, Peranbu secured the 20th position amongst 187 films considered for the Audience award category. Also, Peranbu was nominated for the NETPAC award. We sincerely thank the organizers of International Film Festival of Rotterdam for the opportunity and the festival audience for voting Peranbu to the top 20. Also, we would like to thank Mr. Olaf Moeller, the curator of House on Fire section, Mr. Stefan Borsos and the festival organizers for screening Tamil films under the House on Fire section at 47th International Film Festival of Rotterdam,” said Ram in a statement.

The movie is gearing up for the India release soon.
