Director Bhaskar has opened up about the challenges he faced while helming Bangalore Naatkal, a remake of Malayalam superhit film Bangalore Days in an interview. “I was concerned about getting Rana Daggubati to reprise the role of Fahadh Faasil. But he performed it with alarming ease. Also, adapting Bobby Simha to Nivin Pauly’s role was the real challenge. It was difficult due to the sort of roles Bobby has played in the past. But I think he’s played it really well.”
“We had to figure out the theme of the film, in order to have the same effect that Bangalore Days did. We identified it as ‘change’. In the lives of each of the main characters, there is so much change. I also thought that the idea of the main characters being cousins was interesting,” adds Bhaskar.
Produced by PVP Cinema, Bangalore Naatkal is all set for release on the 5th of February along with Visaaranai and Saagasam.
