Following rave reviews from across the board, Madhavan’s comeback film Irudhi Suttru has received lavish praise from director Bala, whom director Sudha Kongara assisted once. “I have watched many Indian films based on sports like cricket, hockey etc., I know these sports and I liked those films but they didn’t impact me much. But boxing – I don’t know much about it, yet this film made me shed tears at many places. Such a keen emotion, screenplay, performance and music. I always see the flaws a movie has, if it is my movie then I would observe a lot more flaws, but I didn’t find even a single fault or imperfection in this movie; a perfect film I would say,” said Bala.
“This is a kind of film we should all hold in high regard. This film is Madhavan’s career-best, I wanted to give a standing ovation for his performance during the interval block. Dialogues are poignant; nowhere I felt something was overdone. I expected this to be a good film but this
film really astounded me and surpassed all my expectations,” Bala added.
