Dhuruvangal 16 director earnestly appeals youngsters

The ongoing protest in Neduvaasal in Pudukottai district against the exploration of Hydrocarbon by the central government has led many celebrities voice their opinions in favor of the farmers living in the village. Director Karthick Naren who made heads turn with his debut thriller Dhuruvangal 16 has decided to go one step further and will be adopting a struggling family of a farmer to take care of their well being.

Naren also requests all youngsters to take up the initiative to help farmers. “My grandpa was a farmer at a village called Mukkimalai in Ooty. My dad is the first generation learner of the family & he has told me lot of stories about the struggles, blood & sweat my grandpa went through to educate him. The situation of an agricultural family right now is nothing short of horrifying. I agree that I can’t go back & fill the shoes of my grandpa but I am ready to do something for which he struggled so hard. Ready to adopt a family which has been affected by agriculture. Please do let me know if you know any farmer who needs immediate care. Kind request to all the youngsters, the cost of our luxury bike is more than enough to save the family of a farmer. I’m starting with one family & hopefully the count will increase over the years. Please try to adopt one. Journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step!,” read Naren’s Facebook post.
