Dhanush’s VIP mints 50 crores at the box-office
Dhanush’s Velai Illa Pattathari has raked in 50 crores net in the box-office, his biggest hit in Tamil cinema. Earlier, Dhanush made his grand entry into the elite 100 crore club with his debut Hindi film Raanjhanaa. Distributors are extremely happy with the performance of VIP in the box-office that they even requested producer Kathiresan, who bankrolled Jigarthanda, to postpone the film for a week and the move has definitely paid off for Wunderbar Films and Escape Artists Motion Pictures.
“Glad to share dat u guys ve made #VIP nett 50 crores worldwide and still going strong!Thanks 4 makin D25 my biggest blockbuster till date :),” shared Dhanush on his official Twitter page. VIP is directed by Velraj and has Amala Paul as the female lead.
