Dhanush in talks for Tamil remake of Ayyapanum Koshiyum?

Rumors are rife in the industry that Dhanush is in talks for the Tamil remake of Malayalam drama Ayyapanum Koshiyum, which starred Prithviraj and Biju Menon in the lead roles.

We reported yesterday that Kathiresan, the producer of films such as Aadukalam and Jigarthanda, has snapped the Tamil remake rights to the movie, which has turned out to be a big hit all round. The producer is now in the process of assembling the right team to take care of the project, which will be made on a bigger scale than the original. Sources say Dhanush is not yet approached for the remake since he is busy with a lot of upcoming films in his lineup.

Ayyapanum Koshiyum, written and directed by Sachy, was a terrific tale of egos that put a man against a police officer. The film was largely appreciated for its brilliant writing, realistic staging and the right portrayal of human emotions.
