Dhanush takes inspiration from Kamal Haasan’s repertoire

Dhanush is currently busy shooting for his Hindi film Shamitabh. His two Tamil films in the pipeline are Velai Illa Pattadhaari and Anegan. While VIP’s post-production works are going in full swing, Anegan is on the verge of completion. Anegan is a story in 1980s, says a reliable source. To get the mannerisms and looks of people in 80s right, Dhanush and KV Anand have extensively used Kamal Haasan’s filmography to take inspiration.

“Before preparing for the role, Dhanush had watched Kamal’s yesteryear classics including Guru, Ullasa Paravaigal and Varumayin Niram Sivappu to groom himself,” says a source in the know. Well, this is not the first time Ulaganayagan has inspired someone to look up to him.
