Dhanush’s Anegan is eyeing for a Deepavali release

The Deepavali race is bang on in Kollywood. The latest buzz is that KV Anand directed Anegan is eyeing for a Deepavali release if either Kaththi or Ai backs out. Dhanush confirmed on his Twitter page that he started dubbing for the film. Earlier, Harris Jayaraj confirmed that he has finished all songs for the film.The audio launch is likely to happen in September, where the albums of AR Rahman’s Ai and Anirudh’s Kaththi are also likely to be released.

Produced by AGS Entertainment and Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films, Anegan has Bollywood actress Amyra Dastur playing the female lead. Dhanush essays the role of a martial arts expert and will sport funky looks in the film. It also has Ashish Vidyarthi and Atul Kulkarni in important roles.

While the makers of Kaththi and Ai have hinted that they are targeting a Diwali release, Vishal has been keeping mum watching the developments. In fact, Vishal confirmed his film for Diwali even before commencing the project.
