Dhananjayang’s ‘Pride of Tamil Cinema’ to be launched in IFFI
Producer Dhananjayang’s Pride of Tamil Cinema will be unveiled at the International Film Festival of India in Goa on November 21st. The book, which contains plethora of valuable information and research material on Tamil films which attained national and international recognition, will be officially launched by the Director of Film Festivals at the IFFI. The book has foreword written by Bimal Julka, Secretary of Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
“I want Tamil cinema’s glory to reach out to the world by presenting the Pride of Tamil Cinema so that its merits and journey can be understood by everyone. The target of the book is universities world-wide and research scholars, to renew the interest in Tamil cinema. And I’m sure this book will benefit many,” says Dhananjayang about the book. Earlier, Dhananjayang’s The Best of Tamil Cinema: 1931 to 2010 book earned him wide appreciation from the industry including superstar Rajinikanth who appreciated extolment and personally presented a memento for his painstaking research on Tamil cinema. The Best of Tamil Cinema: 1931 to 2010 was launced by Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan three years back.
