Debutant cameraman Vishnu on board Vijay 61

Vijay’s next project with director Atlee, lovingly called by fans as Vijay 61, has been the talk of the tinsel town ever since it was announced by Sri Thenandal Films, who is bankrolling the film on a lavish scale. While most of the information about the cast and crew is under wraps, we have learnt that the team has roped in debutant Vishnu, who worked in Put Chutney’s web series Ctrl Alt Del, to handle the cinematography.

Veteran comedian Vadivelu, who missed out working in Atlee’s previous flick Theri, is also in final talks to play an important role in the film. The project is expected to start rolling in January in India before the team heads to the United States for the next schedule, where substantial portions will be canned. Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Kajal Aggarwal are said to be the front-runners to play lead heroines. Music director is yet to be finalized though AR Rahman’s name is doing the rounds.
