Darbar sets records in overseas territories despite huge competition
Superstar Rajinikanth’s Darbar has set solid records in crucial overseas territories like the USA, the UK, and Australia despite huge competition from Telugu biggies such as Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru and Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
While Darbar has emerged as the tenth-highest opening weekend grosser (Rs 2.32 cr) of all-time in the UK box-office, the AR Murugadoss-directed cop actioner has also registered the seventh-highest opening weekend grosser (Rs 2.02 cr) of all-time in the Australian box-office.
It must be noted that Darbar successfully sailed past the Rs 50 crores gross mark in overseas territories in its opening weekend itself, which is a remarkable feat amidst high-profile competition from Tollywood.
