Darbar: Makers delete a dialogue from the film after facing political pressure
In Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest release Darbar, there was a dialogue which took a dig at a politician, in one of the scenes referring to a jail. The reference was indirectly made at Sasikala, for going in and out of prison during her sentence.
In response to the political pressure faced from Sasikala’s lawyer who announced that he would be filing a case on both Lyca Productions and Superstar Rajinikanth, the makers have decided to remove the scene from the film. Though the line didn’t even carry the name of any single person, the offense has been taken from all sides. However, there is no doubt on the scene bringing out instant laughter from the audiences in theatres.
