Confirmed: Anirudh to make his Bollywood debut in AR Murugadoss’s next

We earlier reported you here that Anirudh will make his debut in Bollywood in AR Murugadoss’s upcoming Hindi film. Now, Anirudh himself confirmed this in an interview to a daily. Anirudh recalls his first meeting with AR Murugadoss at a hotel.  “We met only once at a hotel when Murugadoss asked if I would work with him on his next film with Vijay. Later, when we started work, I asked him why he chose me. He said he was so surprised to see a music director being applauded when the credits rolled after Ethir Neechal,” says Anirudh.

“That’s when he decided to work with me and we gel well as a team. That’s perhaps why he also signed me on for his next Hindi film with Fox Studios, on which work will start in January,” confirms Anirudh about his Bollywood debut. The film is touted to be a remake of Santha Kumar’s Mounaguru with Sonakshi Sinha playing the lead role. Murugadoss has made changes to the script to make it a women-centric film and to suit Bollywood sensibilities, says a source.
