Cobra Songs Review
A well-oiled soundtrack filled with potential chartbusters!
Thumbi Thullal
Adheeraa
Uyir Urugudhey
Tharangini

Thumbi Thullal: Singers – Nakul Abhyankar, Shreya Ghoshal 👍
A beautiful melody that has so much going for it, and catches hold of a specific beat and keeps going in lovely fashion. Shreya Ghoshal’s voice is the icing on the cake, and has a lovely flavour to it along with Nakul Abhyankar who has done a terrific job. On the whole, this is a great start to the album and there’s no doubt on how this song has done well for so long.
Adheeraa: Singers – Vagu Mazan, Thoughtsfornow 👍
A super stylish from AR Rahman that takes its high from an Arabic number and also maintains the vibe in the same way. The song is properly set up with rap portions and speedy parts, which help it so much. Another winner from Rahman in the album.
Uyir Urugudhey: Singer – AR Rahman
Rahman has recently developed the habit of belting out these minimalistic melodies which have done splendidly, and Uyir Urugudhey is the next in the list. The last bit of Thumbi Thullal has been brought in here, leading to this lilting melody in Rahman’s amazing vocals which havent changed over the years.
Tharangini: Singer – Sarthak Kalyani 👍
This is an epic throwback to AR Rahman’s underrated albums such as Kangalal Kaidhu Sei, and he returns with an instantly lovable track that is great to listen to and makes us keep going back to it. Sarthak’s vocals are the plus point, and they do good things to the track on the whole.
Yele Ilanchingamey: Singer – Rakshita Suresh
The only mildly effective track in the film that has nothing much going for it, despite being minimalistic and having a good vocal setup.
Cobra is a terrific soundtrack from AR Rahman that has many hit numbers in it and is sure to fly higher with the visuals. The songs do not have much of noise in them, and still score superbly thanks to the variety that they come in. Rahman has interestingly delivered a solid soundtrack in his first combination with Ajay Gnanamuthu! Cobra Songs Review by Siddarth Srinivas
