Sasikumar-veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja starrer ‘Kennedy Club’ is set against the backdrops of women Kabbadi players. This happens to be the first ever Sasikumar movie to be filmed at a huge budget, which is filmed at an overall budget of Rs. 15Cr.
The shooting of this film is close on the heels of completion now. Talking about this, producer Thai Saravanan of Nallusamy Pictures says that at the moment, the shoot is happening at Kabbadi stadium in Vizhupuram, which involves 16 Kabbadi teams and 300 players all over India taking part in it. This includes players from Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Pune, Kerala, Andhra, and Mangalore.
Although the shoot is set in Vizhupuram, it is being pictured as in backdrops of North India, which has cost Rs 2 Crore budget. To ensure that the climax portion gets a realistic touch, the makers are conducting an original match and are filming it. In addition, many spectators have been invited to view the match. The shooting of this climax portion is being held for 10 days. Following this schedule, songs alone are left to wrap up the entire shooting.
