Central Govt bestows Indian Film Personality of the Year award to Rajinikanth

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting officially announced yesterday that Rajinikanth will be honored with the Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of the Year in this year’s International Film Festival of India to be held in Goa from November 20 to 30. This was announced to the press by Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Minister of State, Information and Broadcasting, on Tuesday. Ever since the announcement was made, the internet was abuzz with wishes for superstar from celebrities.

Amitabh Bachcchan will flag off the 11-day long festival and also participate in the opening ceremony as the chief guest. Rajinikanth is also said to have accepted the invitation for the opening ceremony and the two legends will share the dais on November 20th in Goa. We earlier reported here that Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan will come together for IFFI.
