Cameo Films to bankroll Lawrence – Vijayendra Prasad’s period film

Cameo Films India, which is currently producing the Nayanthara-starrer Imaikkaa Nodigal, will bankroll the big budget period film of Raghava Lawrence’s next untitled flick, to be helmed by debutant Mahadev, a former associate of SS Rajamouli.

“The new untitled production No 4 will feature Raghava Lawrence in lead role. Set against the backdrops of the 18th and 19th century, the emotional action drama will be produced at a monstrous budget,” reads a statement from Cameo Films.

“Every giant leap starts with a small jump, but what gives the energy to accomplish is the warm reception of audiences towards our films. We strongly believe this film would be a greater milestone in our production venture. Especially, what else can we ask for when a versatile writer like Vijayendra Prasad, the backbone of ‘Baahubali’ success penning script to this film,” says producer CJ Jayakumar of Cameo Films.
