Box Office Report: Thalapathy Vijay’s Mersal Tamil Nadu Share Territory-Wise!

Thalapathy Vijay’s Mersal has collected a share of approximately Rs. 66.4 crores in Tamil Nadu in its five-week run, making it the second highest in the region after SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2. 

The film has done extremely well in Chengalpet, Coimbatore territories, followed by Madurai and Ramanathapuram. Thenandal Films, the producer of the movie, released the film directly everywhere with the help of distributors. The movie has set a benchmark for a straight Tamil film in Tamil Nadu with its Rs. 66.4 crore share, surpassing Rajinikanth’s long-held record of Enthiran. 

Meanwhile, Mersal has grossed Rs. 250 crores+ at the worldwide box office. It’s the first film of Vijay to breach the Rs. 250 crore mark. His previous best box office outing Theri, which was also directed by Atlee, had surpassed the Rs. 150 crore mark.
