Boomerang Songs Review

Review Overview

Mughaiyazhi
Desame
Vaan Thodave
Mughaiyazhi (Instrumental)

Lovely little box of music.

Boomerang is a neat soundtrack that is short but still effective. Radhan organizes 3 songs in 3 different ways, and the results are acceptable. Mughaiyazhi in particular, is a standout composition.

Cast: Atharvaa, Megha Akash

Music: Radhan

Direction: Kannan

Label: Sony Music

Mughaiyazhi: Singers – Anand Aravindakshan, Radikaa Sarathkumar

Definitely one of the most lovable instant delights in the recent past, Mughaiyazhi tops the list among all the songs in the soundtrack for its lovely orchestration, earthy vocals and the surprise Hindi portion. The lyrics too, have some lines that would be easily etched into your head. Our PICK, undoubtedly.

Desame: Singer – Jithin Raj

Radhan picks a drill drum beat for the backdrop of this motivational, patriotic number that talks about farmers, waking up and going against the bad. Jithin Raj is not the right pick for the vocals, however, the song makes up with the little interesting turns that it takes. Our PICK.

Vaan Thodave: Singer – Bobo Shashi

A lot of AR Rahman vibes in this song, both in terms of the voice and the music. Though it does sound interesting at first, the song goes into a monotonous region which is ultimately drummy.

Mughaiyazhi (Instrumental Version): Flute Kamalakhar

Nice instrumental version of the first track in the album, but it looks like it has been added to the list just to up the numbers. Will be effective in the score of the film.
