Bollywood actor Adil Hussain makes his Tamil debut in Yatchan
Popular Bollywood actor Adil Hussain, known for his roles in English Vinglish, Life of Pi and Ishqiya, will be making his Tamil debut in Vishnuvardhan’s Yatchan. He has already started shooting for the film in Chennai since last week. “I had received a call from a casting director that someone was looking for me in Chennai. Few days later I got a call from the director and we had a great chat. He told me the story and I loved the role. It’s very versatile, layered and has a lot of grey shade,” Adil told IANS.
“I can’t talk much about the role. But what I really liked about the role is the amazing variety of personality in my character. Each personality has shades of grey and that’s something I don’t get to play in a lot of films in Bollywood. The story is amazingly complex yet gripping. I’m very closely associated with Pondicherry since 1996 and I have a lot of friends there. I’m very used to the language,” added Adil.
Directed by Vishnuvardhan and produced by UTV Motion Pictures, Yatchan has Arya, Kreshna, Deepa Sannidhi, Swati Reddy and Kishore in important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja composes music.
