“Blessed to play the legendary Savithri Garu in Mahanati,” says Keerthy Suresh
Keerthy Suresh, who will be playing the role of legendary actress Savithri in Mahanati, says she is blessed to play the character. On the occasion of International Women’s Day yesterday, the makers released the first glimpse of the film in the form of a poster featuring Savithri, Keerthy Suresh and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who plays an important role.

To be directed by Nag Ashwin of Telugu film Yevade Subramanyam fame and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, Mahanati will go on floors in the latter half of 2017. The team is currently busy with the pre-production work of the film, which will be made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.
