BJP is trying to turn us into a Hindu and Hindi nation: Vetrimaaran
At the commemoration meeting organized by Pa. Ranjith to pay respects to medical aspirant Anitha who committed suicide last Friday, director Vetrimaaran strongly censured the purpose of NEET examination and said, “India is not a country, it’s a convenience. If you look up the definition of the word nation, it will be – a landscape where the people speak one language, follow one culture and tradition. So if you go by the definition, India is a conglomeration of nations. How can a common examination be the solution for such a nation?”
“To pull down a society one has to ruin its culture and language. If they succeed in doing that, the resulting society will be incapable and half-baked. That is what they (BJP) are trying; to turn this nation into a Hindu and Hindi nation,” added Vetrimaaran.
On the professional front, Vetrimaaran is busy shooting for Dhanush’s gangster drama Vada Chennai.
