A biopic on Jayalalitha is underway

A biographical film on the life history of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha is getting ready. The film will be made in both Tamil and English. The film is titled ‘Parivartan’ which translates to Transformation in English. It will focus on the transformation of Jayalalitha from being an actress to becoming a shrewd politician in Tamil Nadu. India Classic Arts, Bangalore and Masscom Productions, Coimbatore are the masterminds behind the idea of this biopic.

The team has decided to produce the film based on the crowdfunding model. M. Sasindran, an elected member of parliament of Papua New Guinea (PNG) was once a staunch supporter of Jayalalitha before he migrated to PNG 15 years ago. His family has contributed a donation of Rs. 20 lakhs for the film. More contributors are expected for the film in the near future. Other details about the crew and cast are awaited.
