Veteran film-maker Bharathiraja has been roped in to play an important role in Vijay 59 to be directed by Atlee, informs a source. Bharathiraja’s role in Suseenthiran’s Pandianaadu received widespread critical acclaim and this addition has bolstered the cast of Vijay 59 and raised expectations among audience.

Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, Vijay 59 is likely to have Samantha and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. It has Vadivelu making his comeback as a comedian after a long time. Vijay essays a cop role in this flick that will kickstart after Puli is wrapped up.
