Being Rajini sir’s heroine is a special privilege: Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi Sinha, who plays Rajinikanth’s love interest in the British era period of his next film Lingaa, says it’s a special privilege to be his heroine and she is humbled. “The script, the team, Rajinikanth, A.R. Rahman’s music, and my character were all extremely appealing and this was too good an opportunity to let go off. I didn’t think twice before I signed the project,”adds Sonashi Sinha, daughter of Rajinikanth’s long-time friend Shatrughan Sinha.

Sonakshi Sinha agrees that being in the same frame as Rajinikanth can be intimidating, but his demeanour, energy and humor helped her shed fears completely and put her in ease. Sonakshi Sinha is visibly excited about her big-ticket launch in Tamil cinema. Lingaa is slated for release on December 12th, 2014 to coincide with Rajinikanth’s birthday.
