Beast becomes the first 10 crore grosser of the year in Chennai city
Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast has become the first ten crore grosser of the year, in Chennai city. The film is the second ten crore grosser in the city in the post-pandemic range, after Vijay’s own Master which released last year.
This is Thalapathy Vijay’s 6th 10 crore grosser in Chennai city (Theri, Mersal, Sarkar, Bigil, Master & Beast), though Sarkar remains the highest with 14.85 crores. While Superstar Rajinikanth has six ten crore grossers in the city (Enthiran, Kabali, Kaala, 2point0, Petta & Darbar) and Ajith has three in the form of Vivegam, Viswasam and Nerkonda Paarvai.
