Beast has already broken the record set by Valimai, which turned out to be the highest grosser in the Chengalpet and Coimbatore territories on day one.

Interestingly, Beast has not just performed well in its home state but also ruled the roost on day one, in the Telugu states. The film has grossed 8.5 crores on the first day, and is also the highest Tamil grosser in the Telugu states for the year 2022. The film has already achieved 40% of its recovery on the first day itself and is set to hit the breakeven mark by the weekend itself.

In Karnataka, Beast has grossed an approximate value of 8 crores on the first day, with 6 crores in Kerala as well – another solid number.

In the overseas markets, Beast has started off in style. The film has already grossed more than $750K in the USA, becoming a major crowd puller in this season. The film has also topped the list of the highest opening day films in the UK, where it has earned 203,186 euros, which is almost double of the film which sits at the second spot – Vijay’s own Sarkar. In Australia, the film has minted A$ 283,000 in its first day as well. Also, Beast registered as 2022’s highest grossing Tamil movie in USA, Australia and New Zealand in its day one itself!

Ashish Saksena, the COO of BookMyShow has revealed that Beast has already sold more than 1.7 million tickets on the platform, with a rapid increase that is noted by the hour.

According to trade sources, Beast’s worldwide day one gross is close to 80 crores, which makes it a banger at this point of time. This also indicates that the film will cross the 100 crore gross mark in just two days of its time, making it a super earner for Thalapathy Vijay and Sun Pictures.
